If properly qualified, can junior high students compete? I have qualified in Oratory, Extemp, and HI/DI, and really would like to compete in the TOC, yet I am in the 8th grade.

that's an excellent question. i remember reading on this site, in another blog located here http://www.forensicscommunity.com/blog/tournaments , that at some college tournaments you can compete as an independent if your university lacks a team...so maybe this is not too far fetched to happen?
i would either ask your speech coach or try contacting someone from the TOC to ask if you can. best of luck if you get to compete and let us know what happens!
