The MLK tournament is an official qualifier for the National Individual Event Tournament of Champions (NIETOC); all individual events are NIETOC qualifiers.  The final rounds of Public Forum Debate, International Extemporaneous, and National Extemporaneous will once again this year be Tournament of Champions (TOC) qualifiers.

Policy Debate:

Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially reduce its military and/or police presence in one or more of the following: South Korea, Japan, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey.

Lincoln-Douglas Debate: 

We will use the January-February National Forensic League topic for Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

Public Forum Debate:

We will use the January National Forensic League topic for Public Forum Debate.

January 7: Last day for adds and drops without penalty (4pm PST)

January 14: Registration at the Student Union from 4:00pm-4:30pm. Schools participating in debate must register on this date.

January 15: Registration for schools not participating in debate at the Student Union from 8:00am - 8:30am
