1. REGISTER BY 5PM ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3
2. BE MEMBERS OF THE SCDL
3. HAVE PAID THEIR 2010-2011 CHSSA DUES (BY ENTRY DEADLINE)
4. HAVE PAID ANY OUTSTANDING "SPRING 2010" FEES (BY ENTRY DEADLINE)

Events for schools with new or emerging programs:

GENERAL PLATFORM  "GP" (pattern A)
This event is basically Expository or Original Oratory or Original Advocacy OR A PREPARED IMPROMPTU SPEECH 
TIME: 5 to 10 minutes
Speeches may be delivered from notes; HOWEVER, those that are memorized will be ranked ahead of those with notes.

IMPROVISATIONAL DUO "ID" (pattern A)
This event is a duo that is made up on the spot.
All regular Duo rules apply to this event, except obviously, memorization.
Students will be given a topic in the round and then one minute to prepare their performance
TIME: 0 to 5 minutes
Speakers may NOT touch each other
NO props are allowed

GENERAL INTERP   "GI" (pattern B)
This event can be humorous, dramatic or both
TIME: 5 to 10 minutes
Speeches may be delivered from notes; HOWEVER, those that are memorized will be ranked ahead of those with notes.
Speeches must come from works that HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED
