About Me

Hello! My name is Lisa and I competed on my high school's speech team for three years. My main passions are Prose Reading and HDA (having done these extensively), but I also adore the whole array of categories Speech offers. I was a team captain as well. Speech started out as a way for me to not only improve my acting but also have a venue to hang-out with my pals. I stayed after discovering how powerful and exciting the world of Forensics can be. I currently am a walking stereotype and spend my free time writing/reading either in a local coffee shop or outside on the lawn.

Would it be helpful if I brushed off my piece, filmed myself performing it, and uploaded the video onto this site? That way you could see what I did and pick stuff you liked and improve on them AND see what doesn't work and avoid it, haha.

What worked for me was being honest in the emotions and trying to think like a little kid. Observe some cousins, siblings, random kids in that age bracket. It might help you.

Thanks for the tips! That's really what I'm struggling with. I'm never sure what emotion she's feeling. She is talking about crying, so she's sad, but then she goes on to say that she wound out that some girl started whatever it was that made her cry in the first place. There's harldly a chance to transition at all, and I don't want to loose my judges in a sudden mood swing.
