Overview 

In 1927 the OHSSL was formed; originally called the Ohio High School Debating League. The league started with only 25 member schools and now the league organizes all forensic competition in the state. The OHSSL offers all of the individual events that the National Forensic League does (aside from a few competitions where Prose, Verse and Oratorical Interpretation are offered). They also offer L-D, Public Forum, and Policy Debate. Any high school is eligible to join and compete. Annual membership dues are $175.
