Prose: No Country For Old Men

No replies

For my piece this year, I am doing a scene from Cormac McCarthy's No Country For Old Men. It is the scene where Anton is at the gas station and the clerk keeps on asking him questions. He then gets fed up with it and flips a coin. He tells the clerk to call it, heads or tails. The clerk, not knowing that his life was on the line, guesses correctly. Anton tells him not to put the quarter in his pocket, and leaves the gas station. I am having a hard time trying to create an introduction for this piece and inserting the theme into the introduction. Thank You.
