Humorous Interp piece

I am going into my senior year and want to leave speech team with a bang. I am very good at Southern voices. I was curious if anyone knew of any excellent pieces involving the South so I could use my voices. I feel like southern pieces are my specialty because I can easily relate. thank you!

Awesome, Good luck Senior year, that's the year to make it really count!

Let me see if I can find a good Southern piece, don't know any off the top of my head.

Have you seen the HI pieces section?

Theoretically, unless a piece gave a specific setting, you could turn it Southern and use an accent.

The only things coming to my mind right now are Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Big Fish, The Help, Driving Miss Daisy...if I think of less obvious choices, I'll get back to you.

Were you looking for something serious or funny?

haha, savyyy_05 your post just reminded me of "The Great American Trailer Park." It's hilarious, but a little raunchy at times, FYI. It's a musical, if you can sing and like music in your pieces.

Try some Williams! Night of the Iguana would be an excellent HI.
