Hello Everyone....

Just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone and tell you all a little about myself. I grew up in Waco Texas debating for Connally High School. After that, I debated for the University of North Texas. Since then, I have coached debate for UNT, Kansas State University, Baylor University, The University of Rochester(NY), Creekview HS(TX) and Highland Park HS(TX). Most recently I have accepted the Director of Debate position with The New School in NYC.

All-in-all, I have been involved with debate for around 15 years now and I have to say that I truly love it. There is no other job that has been able to satisfy me the way that coaching debate has. Debate is one of those activities that truly changes people and from what I have seen it's typically for the better. No matter how rough things get or how stressed out I am, I always know that there is a debater who will end up making me smile. It's probably one of the reasons I have stuck with it so long.

I look forward to meeting everyone involved in this amazing activity and this wonderful site. I only hope that I will be able to help spark new discussions and help out those in need. If anyone out there has any questions please feel free to send me a message.

I'd like to welcome Mike G to the the forensics community. He's a balla, no doubt. And congrats again on becoming DOD at the New School. I'm hoping to get to interview him...we'll see if his busy schedule will allow it!

How is the position of Director going? Are you still in NYC, or did you move back to Texas? I hear Texas has this power to keep drawing its natives back into the heart of Texas :^)
