Hello All

Hey there! My name is Lis, short for Lisa, and I competed with my high school's speech team for three years (Victor J. Andrew HS in Illinois). I mainly competed in Prose Reading and Humorous Duet Acting, but I adore all the other categories as well. I was a team captain and organizational/management slave--I say that with love! Speech started out as a way for me to not only improve my acting but also have a venue to hang-out with my pals. I stayed after discovering how powerful and exciting the world of Forensics can be. Best moment of speech life, aside from the countless rounds of Egyptian Rat-Screw with my team at our table, was making it to Sectionals my senior year.

And now for something completely different, who I am:
I am a recent graduate of Bradley University (English Major/Theatre Minor, so I will be living in a cardboard box). I decided to not do Forensics in college and focus on my theatre minor instead. I love 19th century literature, writing, films, drawing, all things BBC, pie, and being silly. I am currently working at a mortgage firm to earn an income while I search for a real, adult job.

How's that cardboard box workin' out? ;)

Do you regret focusing on theatre and not speech in college?

I don't regret it at all! I still do theatre AND get to be involved with speech. I get to have my cake and eat it too!
