Okay NFL Districts across the Nation, you have until April 15th, 2011 to select your District Student of the Year.  This award is for graduating seniors only, and if selected for District Student of the Year, that NFL member then has the chance of becoming a National Student of the Year candidate.  Remember, selections must be done and submitted by e-mail on/b

Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially reduce its military and/or police presence in one or more of the following: South Korea, Japan, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey.

 

NFL Debate Topics (UPDATE with this month's and November's topics)

The National Forensic League has released new topics for the months of November-December (depending on the event).  They have also changed their November topic.

The National Forensic League has released the new debate topics.  There are as follows:

Policy Debate (2010-2011)

Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially reduce its military and/or police presence in one or more of the following: South Korea, Japan, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey.

NFL Wants Public Forum Ideas

The National Forensic League is asking for all those interested in Public Forum to submit their ideas for 2010-2011 topics.  They only have one request, "idea e-mails should include a brief overview of the topic area being suggested and a list of possible resolution ideas on the topic area."  Topics can be anything "timely and relevant" to Public Forum competitors.

NDT/CEDA Topic for 2010-2011

The National Debate Tournament (American Forensic Association) and the Cross Examination Debate Association have announced their topic for the 2010-2011 debate season.  After the voting of seventy schools, the topic will be:

Possible L-D Resolutions for 2010-2011 Season

Hendrick Hudson High School's debate coach Jim Menick has posted a list of possible LD resolutions, with analysis, for NFL's upcoming season in his debate blog, Coachean Life.  The resolutions are listed below.  What do you guys think about these topics?
